NARPO 100th Anniversary Celebrations
The Baroness Harris of Richmond hosted a reception at the House of Lords on Wednesday 17 July as part of the NARPO 100th Anniversary Celebrations.
The Chelmsford branch was represented by our Chairman, Bob Good and Secretary, Sue Heaton. They were joined by representatives from the Colchester Branch.
Baroness Harris welcomed NARPO members from throughout the country. She was followed by Brian Burdus, NARPO President, and Louise Haig, Shadow Minister of State for Policing.
The Shadow Minister majored on the unfairness of the current pension rules affecting some wives and partners of deceased former police officers.
A final short speech was given by Steve Edwards our CEO.
